Refund Policy

At **Virginia Book Publisher**, we pride ourselves on the quality of our creative and professional services. Because our work involves dedicated labor, intellectual property creation, and professional time, we have established a fair and transparent refund structure based on project milestones.

1. Initial Cancellation

  • Within 24 Hours: You are eligible for a full refund (less a 5% administrative processing fee) if requested within 24 hours of payment, provided no kick-off meeting has occurred.
  • Before Drafting: If the project has been onboarded but no creative drafting or editing has begun, a 70% refund is applicable.

2. Milestone-Based Refunds

Once a project enters the creative phase, refunds are calculated based on the work delivered to date:

  • Concept Phase: If you choose to cancel after the delivery of initial outlines, book cover concepts, or the first chapter draft, a 50% refund of the total project fee is available.
  • Development Phase: Once more than 50% of the project milestones have been completed and delivered as per your Service Agreement, the project is no longer eligible for a refund.

3. Non-Refundable Services

Certain costs are immediate and non-recoverable. No refunds will be issued for:

  • Fees paid for ISBN registration and barcode generation.
  • Book printing, shipping, or physical proof costs.
  • Distribution setup fees for Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or other retailers.
  • Marketing campaign spend that has already been deployed.

4. Revisions and Quality

Subjective dissatisfaction—often referred to as "creative differences"—does not constitute grounds for a refund. To ensure your vision is realized, we provide specific revision rounds in every contract. We guarantee that all manuscripts are 100% original and technically formatted to industry standards.

5. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a request, please contact our billing department in writing:

Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
